WHAT WE DO
SERVICES

Multitracking, overdubs, editing, mixing, and mastering (we can apply EQ, compression, gain optimization, psychoacoustic bass enhancement, and/or dithering for your individual songs). We can do just the bass and drum tracking, allowing you to overdub at your studio, or record your entire project here!
Mixing
Send the tracks you've recorded, and I will mix them here. I mix ambient, rock, Goth, folk, experimental, darkwave, electronica,metal, international music, and much more with equal love and ease. You send theconsolidated audio files via dropbox.com, and I do the rest.

Daily Backups:
When you are recording here, we will automatically back up your Pro Tools session and audio on an external firewire hard drive after each session. We also store your Pro Tools session on our hard drive for approximately one month after you have finished the session before deleting it. We do this to build good karma, but are not liable for any damage to your back-ups.
Saving your Pro Tools Recording Session
We can save your Pro Tools recording session to hard drive, USB drive, or DVD-R quickly at the end of your recording sessions. You should be able to open up this recording session with Pro Tools and other software programs that may be compatible. While this is certainly an easy and convenient way to save your audio, to make sure that your audio will be able to be opened up successfully in the future, we recommend archiving your music.
Archiving your music:
We recommend archiving your recording session. This enables your audio files to be opened up easily with almost all digital audio workstations, such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Sonar, Digital Performer, or others. We can perform some housecleaning and delete all tracks that are definitely not usable, and consolidate all regions within tracks, so each track is only one file, and logically labeled. As of 24 May 2017, I will no longer be doing Akai tape transfers. My machine is corroded beyond repair, and I currently have no intentions of purchasing another tape machine. Thank you very much for your support over the years, and apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

I've had either an Akai MG1214 or, for the past few years, this 14D rackmount tape machine for many years. I have been recording to Pro Tools for many years now, but still kept the Akai machines going because I kept getting asked to do tape transfers. That has come to an end, and I am without doubt one of the very last studios to offer that service. The end of an era.

We transferred over 450 tapes, sometimes bringing beautiful memories to people. Thank you so much for your kind words and patronage over the years.
