Vasquez Rocks: Easter Weekend 2014
I'll start with the last photo I took first. I was testing out my new camera and a Tokina lens that I ended up not using extensively. And Vasquez Rocks is a good place to try this. It's close to Los Angeles, and it's got gorgeous rock formations, so why not? I was walking back to my car. I turned around and saw this beautiful view. I immediately unpacked my gear and took this photo, light painting the cliffs and foreground. Many times the last photo I take in an evening is the best or strangest one. |

15-second exposure at f/2.8 ISO 1250 at Vasquez Rocks. Another photo where I was testing for high ISO capabilities, not so much focusing on composition as much. |
