Difficult shot because the web was swaying and it was dark.

General information about this page:
Light painting photography is a very creative, active sort of photography, essentially a performance.

While keeping the shutter of the camera open for a long time, I typically used two light sources to "paint" a source, whether a spider or a gnome or other subject. One was a headlamp, which I primarily used to illuminate the subject. The other was electrolumininescent wire, or EL wire, a thin copper wire coated in a phosphor which glows when an alternating current is applied to it. I had a blue and red colored wire, which I used to create the mystical glow around the subject.

Nats are spirits worshipped in Burma (or Myanmar) and have blended with Buddhism. They are divided between the 37 Great Nats and all the rest (i.e., spirits of trees, water, etc.). The most important nat pilgrimage site in Burma is Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with numerous temples and relic sites atop a mountain 1300 meters in altitude, located near Bagan in central Burma.

Nats have human characteristics, wants, and needs. They are flawed, having desires considered derogatory and immoral in mainstream Buddhism.
