Pinot, Pinnacles, and The Pacific. Spring Break. We were beyond busy. Our work with Los Angeles Friends of Tibet and The Tibet Connection was off the hook, brought about by the protests in Lhasa (see the photos of the protests in Los Angeles and San Francisco). Work was busy. Everything was busy, with never enough sleep. Time to get away. Road trip. We drove up to the mysterious salt lake of Soda Lake. Then, Soledad to hike the fascinating volcanic peaks of Pinnacles National Monument. To the Monterey coast to see the famous aquarium and some delicious clam chowder soup. Down through Big Sur, the "most dramatic meeting of land and sea." And to the idyllic San Luis Obispo for the Earth Day Wine Festival. The goose will show you the way... |
